Welcome to our egg hut! We’re Rich and Deb and we invite you to come inside and “peck” around. We’re more than just eggs!
We live in a 3rd generation farmhouse and love spreading joy to our neighbors by sharing some of our favorite things- just like our grandparents did. Carrying on their tradition, we’re dedicated to providing you with high-quality items that are reasonably priced and handmade/handgrown right here in Central New York! Along with farm-fresh eggs, we offer soap, candles, a variety of gifts, and homemade baked goods.
As our commitment to giving back, 10% of your purchase will be donated to non-profit organizations who provide chickens and education for their care, to needy communities to help sustain their livelihood. We invite you to join us in this cause.

Natural, vegetable oil soaps. Hand crafted in small batches in our farmhouse.

To ensure your satisfaction, our vegetable oil soaps are made from acclaimed recipes shared by our favorite natural soap makers: Tanya Anderson from Lovely Greens and Simi and Troy from Muddy Mint.
We handcraft our soaps in small batches in our farmhouse, using the traditional cold process method so that all the natural glycerin is retained. Each bar is cut by hand and cures for 3-4 weeks until the excess water evaporates.

We use a variety of saponified vegetable oils and butters that vary with each recipe.
May include oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, babassu oil, apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil.
May include rich vegetable butters such as avocado butter, cocoa butter, mango butter and shea butter.
Depending on the recipe, natural additives including clays, sea salt or spices and botanicals may be added to provide color and beauty.
Essential oils or skin-safe fragrances that are phthalate and CMR-free are used to provide long-lasting scent.

All of our candles are made from a natural soy and coconut wax blend.
We do not add any colorants to our waxes.

We only use CleanScents+ fragrances from CandleScience. These fragrances are labeled as:
phthalate-free (phthalates are substances added to plastics to increase their flexibility which can be harmful to organs)
free of suspected or confirmed carcinogens that are known to cause cancer, mutagens that change the DNA of cells, and reproductive toxins that affect the organs and increase risk of birth defects (CMRs)
free of organ toxins that harm body organs
free of acute toxins that cause issues from exposure
not on California’s prop 65 list

We test each fragrance and vessel to find the best wick for that candle.
A variety of cotton wicks from CandleScience are used in our candles.
Stone ceramic vessels or aluminum candle tins are used to house our natural wax candles.
